The Waterfront Canoe Program provides knowledge and skills necessary for calm water paddling in a designated "waterfront or beachfront" area. The course focuses on basic skill development, safety and an understanding of limitations primarily through paddling games and group activities. The items chosen for inclusion in this program are of importance to individuals being introduced to canoeing through canoeing games in a summer camp or canoe club setting, within a sheltered environment.

The Lake Program is designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skills necessary for open water lake paddling. The items chosen in this program are of importance to all lake canoeists as they transfer and expand the basic canoeing skills and knowledge to the environment of open water.
The program provides the theory and skills necessary for a daylong canoe trip in open water with a variety of wind conditions. However with practice many of the skills can be transferred to multi-day expeditions.

Advanced Lake Skills Course (Tandem)
When: April 26 & 27, 2025, 9am to 5 pm
Where: Hermitage Pond, Edmonton & Leduc Reservoir
Pre-requisites: Intermediate Lake Skills or strong equivalent skills.
